SQL MPs — Issue with Seed Installation Discovery

SQL 2005 and 2008 use a regkey to populate the installation discovery seed. This regkey isn’t very accurate though. Follow the link for details on the problem and the workaround. Unable to deleted Agentless Monitored Devices

1. Try running PS CMD Remove-DisabledMonitoringObject 2. Try deleting the server the serves as the proxy. You can then re-add the device and the agentless server will disappear.
